2022 was another great year for our landscaping company. Thank you to all of our Winnipeg clients for our success and your continued support. It was a delayed start to the year, thanks to the cold and snowy spring weather. That being said, our hard-working staff of landscape designers, planners and installers buckled down to help us get us through our full slate of projects.
Each summer, we re-visit some recent projects to see how everything is coming along, how the plantings are growing in, how our clients are enjoying their new outdoor spaces and so on. Below we’ll feature some of these projects and give you a peak into what we saw this past summer.
Charming Renovation
This stately Crescentwood home was a large project from the summer before, and was a full re-do of the entire yard following a big renovation to the house itself by Garnet construction. Our plans called for new paving stone walkways and patio, colourful new gardens and plantings, a mixture of wood and ornamental iron fencing and a beautiful courtyard firepit area.
Back Yard Paradise
It was fun to pop back into this river heights back yard – now an entertainer’s paradise! Check out the custom wood pergola with retractable shade awnings. The homeowner also did a fabulous job planting the Barkman annual pots that we installed as part of the project.
Quaint Curb Appeal
This front yard is growing in beautifully with a ton of colour. In addition to the new front beds, we replaced the front steps with new composite decking and installed a new paving stone driveway and front walk with poured concrete curbs. Instant curb appeal!
Resort-like Living
This pool area renovation turned out sensational. An existing pool area brought back to live with new travertine tile and travertine coping around the pool perimeter. All of this was installed on top of new poured concrete to ensure it never sinks or settles. Matching travertine was installed on the pool side pedestals that house waterfall features and annual planters.
Custom Woodwork
Last but not least, this was also a really fun project from the summer before that we stopped in to re-visit and see how the clients are enjoying their new back yard. The star of the show here was a custom built pavilion structure, situated on the sprawling new deck, with automated, retractable screens that close in the dining area to get away from the bugs.
