As a full service design-build landscaping firm, there’s a lot to know to do the job well. Our team is a diverse group of individuals with varying education and work experience.

If working with us on a project, at least one of the leaders below will always be on site. We encourage you to ask questions, get involved and enjoy the process.

IN THE OFFICE

Gary Weinberg  Owner/Operator

Gary’s summer job cutting lawns while getting his degree in business at the U of M turned into his life work and career. He has been the primary owner and operator of 3 Seasons since the early 1980’s. Gary’s available for in-home consultations but primarily works out of our office managing projects. He’s an avid traveler and lives in Charleswood with his wife and two sons.

Jason Cherepak  Head Foreman & Manager 

Jason worked for Gary over 20 years ago as a young landscaper before moving on – first working in sales (both real estate and with Caterpillar tractors) and then in British Columbia building golf courses. Jason returned to Winnipeg and became a partner with Gary at 3 Seasons and has now been at it nearly 20 years. Jason loves to fish and hunt, and lives in St. James with his wife and three children.

Paul Szakacs  Design, Sales & Manager

Paul joined 3 Seasons after finishing his Bachelor of Environmental Design at the U of M. What started as a summer job turned into a career, as he’s now been with the company for 16 seasons. Paul does most of our design work, consultations, sales and is also involved in construction. He’s a sports fan, loves to travel and lives in River Heights with his wife and young daughter. 

Kari Zahariuk  Design & Sales

Kari’s the office academic – with a broad knowledge of everything in landscape design, thanks to a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture. She’s been with us for about 10 years. When not planning your garden beds, she spends time with her partner Wes and two kids. 

PROJECT LEADERS

Troy Lafond

Troy’s a longtime member of our team (14 years now) and a very experienced landscaper. He’s a master paver and a great team leader.

Justin Punton

Already a very mechanically inclined young man, Justin joined us in 2016, learned the trade and has become a very reliable, enthusiastic foreman.

Jason Cherepak

On top of his responsibilities in the office (see above), Jason’s very involved in all projects as a supervisor and foreman.
